The act of washing feet carries a very deep meaning. When Jesus knelt before His disciples and washed their feet, He showed us the true nature of a humble heart - and what it means to lead through service.
"So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, 'Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.'"
John 13:12-14
In the culture of that time, washing feet was the task of the lowest servant. It was unthinkable that a teacher, a rabbi - let alone the Son of God - would take on this role. Yet Jesus did exactly that. He laid aside His garments, took a towel, and washed the feet of each disciple, including Judas, who would betray Him.
This was not merely a symbolic act. It was a living lesson about the Kingdom of God, where greatness is measured not by authority or position, but by willingness to serve. Jesus turned the world's understanding of leadership upside down.
At TFH Biblical School, we teach our students that ministry is not about status or recognition. It is about following Christ's example - being willing to serve in the humblest ways, to put others before ourselves, and to love without condition.
Our ministry teams in Pakistan live out this calling daily - visiting the sick, caring for orphans, feeding the hungry, and walking alongside new believers as they grow in their faith. We serve not because we seek praise, but because we have been served first by the greatest Servant of all.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45
We invite you to join us in this mission of humble service. Whether through prayer, giving, or coming alongside us in Pakistan - there is a place for every willing heart. Reach out to us to learn how you can be part of what God is doing.
