In June 2024, our ministry witnessed one of the most joyful moments in its history - the baptism of 20 new believers who chose to publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ through water baptism.
Each of these 20 men and women had come to know Christ through the faithful work of Healing Hands Ministries and the teaching at TFH Biblical School. Their decision to be baptized was not taken lightly. In Pakistan, publicly professing one's faith in Jesus carries significant risk, yet these believers stepped forward with courage and conviction, choosing to follow their Lord into the waters of baptism.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Matthew 28:19
Baptism is one of the most significant steps a believer can take. It is a public declaration of an inward transformation - a visible sign that one has died to the old life and been raised to new life in Christ. For these 20 brothers and sisters, baptism marked the beginning of a new chapter in their walk with God.
The atmosphere was filled with praise and worship as each person entered the water. Family members and fellow believers gathered to witness and celebrate, singing hymns and lifting prayers of thanksgiving. Tears of joy flowed freely as the community rejoiced together over each baptism.
Pastor Dr. Qaisar Shahzad, who led the baptism service, spoke about the importance of obedience to Christ's command. He reminded the congregation that baptism is not merely a ritual, but an act of faith - a step of obedience that demonstrates one's commitment to follow Jesus no matter the cost.
Several of the newly baptized believers shared their testimonies before entering the water. Stories of transformation, healing, and deliverance filled the gathering with awe and gratitude. Some had come from backgrounds of deep spiritual darkness, while others had grown up in nominal faith and only recently encountered the living Christ through the ministry's outreach.
The joy of this day reminded us all of why we do what we do. Every soul saved, every life transformed, every believer baptized - these are the fruits of faithful ministry. We praise God for the work He is doing in the hearts of people in Pakistan, and we are honored to be part of His plan.
